Clothing to Protect from Infectious Disease

Infectious disease protective clothing enables the wearer to perform a range of activities in environments contaminated with known pathogens - without adverse health effects.

Depending on the type of use, protection can be against contaminated liquids (such as blood), aerosols or solid dust particles.

We check whether limited-use or reusable infection protective clothing meets the specifications of the European personal protective equipment (PPE) standard DIN EN 14126.

Testing and Certification of Protective Clothing against Infectious Agents

As an accredited laboratory and notified body (No. 0555), we:

Test and certify infection control clothing in accordance with the requirements of DIN EN 14126
Issue EU type examination certificates for CE marking of products in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/425

The tests are also suitable for qualification of protective equipment for:

Rescue services - DGUV Regulation 105-003, Section 4.5 (Protection against infections) and Annexes 1+3
Firefighters - EN 16689, Section 7.8 (Resistance to penetration by blood-borne infectious agents)
